Important Things To Know
(AKA Terms and Conditions)
What is a CSA?
We are offering bouquet subscriptions following the model of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA.) A CSA supports local farmers by investing early in the season, in return you receive fresh, sustainably grown flowers directly from the source. Basically you help the farm in exchange for a share of the harvest. For this reason, subscriptions are non-refundable. While we can not guarantee any specific flower being available (we are dealing with nature, an unpredictable force) I over-plant like a mad woman so unless a tornado takes out our ENTIRE property, there will always be beautiful flowers😊
Bouquet presentation
Each bouquet will be artfully designed using the best of the best in our gardens, wrapped in a paper sleeve and ready to fill a vase (or vases if you want to divide up the huge bouquets.)
Pick-up locations
Bouquets will be delivered on Thursdays to 3 Arrows Coffee Company in St. Croix Falls for you to pick up. We will add additional drop-off locations if 3 or more members request it. Please reach out to us if somewhere other than St. Croix Falls would work better for you.
Subscription start dates
The first pick-up date and location will be communicated to members a week or two prior, as soon as I can tell when the flowers are going to start to bloom! Again, it’s nature we are dealing with so it's hard to give exact dates. Typically, the spring subscription starts in mid- to late-April, the summer subscription will start late May/early June and the fall subscription in late September.
Pick-up policies
You'll receive an email with pick-up instructions specific to the locale you've selected. If you are unable to pick up your flowers, please send a friend, family member or neighbor to pick them up on your behalf. We cannot hold bouquets not picked up, they will not be refunded, and they will be donated. If you let us know at least 48 hours in advance of a conflict, we may be able to reschedule for a pick-up at one of our farmer’s markets depending on our schedule but that is not guaranteed.
More flowers
You can always add extra bouquets any week to your subscription if you are in need of a gift or have a special event, we just ask for 48 hours notice so we can adjust our harvest schedule. Please contact us through the custom order email form. And please keep in mind that Ollie loves making custom arrangements for parties, celebrations or other events.
Members are special
Red Fox Garden Club membership will be included with subscription purchases. As a member of the garden club you will have first access to very limited availability garden events such as Make and Take Classes, U-Pick Dahlia Days, and Strolling with the Hummingbirds, along with advance access to pop-up sales of specialty flowers, plants and bulbs.
Market Bouquets vs Subscription Bouquets
The CSA (subscription) bouquets will be filled with my precious babies😊 They are larger, containing more of the fancy dominate, focal flowers where as the market bouquets are smaller and are a mixed assortment of seasonal blooms and foliage. For example: A subscription bouquet in August will have 8-10 big, blousy (depending on bloom size) dahlia stems along with other additions to add interest to the design. A market bouquet from the same season might have 3 dahlia stems along with zinnias, cosmos and other filler flowers. Flower subscribers will always get the best of what is blooming in the garden.
